Capturing the moments of today that will melt your heart tomorrow

If you have liked what you’ve seen on our website and contacted us, then we will send you further information about our fees and a brief questionnaire in order that we can evaluate how we can best cater for your special event or photoshoot. We would then meet in person, when we would be happy to visit you in your own home or have you visit us.

We can show you our portfolio of work, including a number of special event and wedding photoshoots we have completed most recently. We will discuss your plans and ideas and we can explain in more detail how our approach to your special day, event or photoshoot will work.

If you decide that we can offer you what you are looking for we will require you to sign booking form as well as provide us with a fifty percent non-refundable deposit. As soon as we have received these, our services will be secured for you.

Getting to know you.

We like to work very closely with our clients, building up good relationships and a full understanding of their expectations.

Our approach is one of calming direction and assistance, in order to help people feel at ease with us and in front of the cameras.

Preparation is the key to a smooth running photoshoot or event coverage.

Some friendly and helpful advice

Finding the right photographer for any occasion, be it your Wedding Day, Special Event, Pet or Portrait Shoot should be your first priority. You need to take time and make considered decisions about recording such an important memory. To get the results that you want.

A professional photographer with good reviews and one who has been recommended by others is always a great place to start, but make sure that you meet them before making any decisions about their suitability in order that you have confidence in them and that they understand what results you are hoping for. Someone who will take the best pictures possible for you – so it’s something you need to think carefully about.

What next?

What are your hopes and expectations from the results of your photography session, event or special day? Think about the style of photos you want. Discuss this with your photographer so they understand what you want and listen to their advice and any ideas they have to offer.

An experienced and thoughtful photographer will give you the confidence that you are looking for, to produce the best possible results from your special day or photoshoot. Review the portfolio of their work in different genre and understand from this if their style suits you. Consistent, quality results and photographs are some of the signs that they will be able to produce work that you will cherish and be proud of. Understand if their skill set covers

different styles of photography, from formal and organised to casual, candid and unobtrusive.

Always make sure that the photographer you use, like Mr and Mrs Occasion Photography, are covered by professional indemnity insurance in case something goes wrong with the cameras or associated equipment. Make sure they have Public Liability insurance and for extra confidence, if it is a shoot with minors, make sure they are CRB Accredited. We pride ourselves on being fully insured and accredited to give our clients that peace of mind.

Planning.

Good photographers can get booked up well in advance, particularly for Weddings, so make sure you start looking early. Fridays and weekends are always the busiest days for photographers.

Think ahead also about your budget. Newly-weds to be can spend anything between £350 and £4,000 on wedding photography, with the majority spending between £800-£1500. Always compare prices, but never try ‘doing it on a budget’.

You will not be satisfied with the results if you think a bargain will provide you with the memories so important to you.
